ICN Awards 2021 – Nominations
The ICN Awards nominations were recently announced. In a first for me, I’ve got nominations across the board, and I’d really appreciate public votes to help a little bit!

The ICN Awards are a staple of the Irish comic community which we all take way too seriously. Given that it’s just nice to say “I won this award for my comics”, I’m part of the crowd who’s actively asking for people to consider voting. (Please!)
I’m nominated in the following categories:
- Best Writer (Small Press)
- Best Letterer
- Best Webcomic – for Dead Ringer
- Best Irish Creator Comic (Small Press) – for Turning Roads
- Best Kickstarter – for Turning Roads
- Best Irish Anthology – for Turning Roads
- Overall Best Irish Comic – for Turning Roads
- Best Publisher – for Limit Break Comics
- Best Comic Related/Featured Online Content – for Irish Comics Dot IE
There are also a number of the Turning Roads crowd nominated across the board. Leeann Hamilton and Colin Craker are both up for Best Artist (Small Press) for their stories in the book. Tríona Farrell is up for Best Colourist in both categories, her small press work being on the story I wrote. Colin Craker and James Killian are both also up for Best Newcomer/Breakthrough, and the cover by Declan Shalvey is also nominated.
I’m not too proud to ask for support with this. It’s free, anyone can do it, and it would mean a lot to me to win an award for the work I did in 2021.
